Galerie Rudolf
Galerie Rudolf has been in existence for over 47 years, founded and first located in Heidelberg in 1977, from 1994 to 2021 the gallery was represented in Keitum on Sylt. Since 2004, the gallery has also been located in Kampen on Sylt. The gallery’s work focuses on the great painters and important art movements of the 20th century: international classics such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Georges Braque and Joan Miro are juxtaposed with German expressionist and abstract painters. There are large groups of works by Otto Dix, Lyonel Feinninger, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and HAP Grieshaber as well as works by Willi Baumeister, Ida Kerkovius and Max Ackermann, to whom the gallery pays particular attention. Artists such as Will Sohl, Otto Eglau, Emil and Dorothea Maetzel-Johannsen and Klaus Fußmann owe their presence to the gallery’s location. Gernot Rudolf is also one of today’s most competent dealers in drawings by Heinrich Zille; his holdings of works by this important Berlin artist from the turn of the century are remarkable and representative.
In addition to its gallery work on Sylt, Galerie Rudolf shows a cross-section of its gallery programme at numerous art fairs every year.
