3. Exceptional lacquer panel with illustration of nature
It depicts flora and fauna. Lacquer techniques such as takamaki-e were used to create a raised layer. Shibayama-style mother-of-pearl inlay techniques were also used. Japan, Meiji period – late 19th century. Dimensions : 61 x 31 cm : 61 x 31 cm
