In the historic centre of Bergerac, Bénédicte Giniaux presents the work of 24 permanent artists: painters and sculptors. She has been fervently involved in this profession since 1994, and her experience and the eclecticism of her choices bring together several artistic approaches. It’s an art gallery where dreams, poetry, tenderness, humour and testimonials dominate, signed by artists committed to their creation, some of whom have built up reputations far beyond our borders.
‘I’ve always worked with artists whose sensibility and creative techniques fascinate me. I appreciate their investment, their commitment, their artistic approach and the way they look at their work. Some of them have been with me since I started, and when new artists join the gallery, my selection criteria are geared to the long term.

Valem’s sculptures and Caudron’s paintings will be presented at Antiques & Art Fair 2025:

Born in 1975, Valem discovered sculpture as a model during her studies. After graduating as an engineer in 1999 and becoming a teacher-researcher, she has remained faithful to sculpture, giving it priority for the last ten years. In 2016, she chose to be represented and supported primarily by Galerie Bénédicte Giniaux.
Valem looks for postures and attitudes that she interprets faithfully for each species. Her work is committed, lively, deliberate and highly expressive. Her memories of Senegal, presented in a group called ‘Teranga’, are a far cry from so-called ‘ethnic’ art, and are an ode to the generosity and luminous beauty of the people she met there: a tribute to the women and eyes of the children.
With her commitment to social and ecological issues, the representation of living things in her artistic expression has taken on a more assertive meaning. Since 2022, plants have made their way into her creations, hybridizing with human and animal representations.
Born in 1947, Didier Caudron has been exhibiting his work since 1992 in various French and foreign galleries for over forty years. Acknowledged as a great colourist, he paints every day, even though he pursues a second profession with just as much passion: general practitioner. He works in oil on canvas, with a lot of substance, applying it with a knife using a fractal approach, like geological sections. Didier Caudron is always on the lookout, halfway between the figurative and the abstract, with canvases where you can discover, at your own pace and with your own imagination, reliefs and depths that are sometimes unexpected.
His paintings are brightly coloured, very dynamic, sometimes rhythmic, and at the service of instantaneous sensations that glorify light, reflections, shadows and movement. Numerous imaginary landscapes, some seen from the sky, offer original, personalised perspectives.
Galerie Bénédicte Giniaux has been exhibiting her work at various art fairs for the last ten years.
