Located on Rue Mazarine for over thirty years, Galerie Jacques Barrère embodies excellence and tradition in the field of Far Eastern art.
With a history dating back nearly a century, Jacques Barrère took over the family business in 1969 and founded his gallery a few years later.
In 2008, Antoine Barrère took over the management. Continuing his father’s legacy, he brings a fresh perspective from a new generation to a globalised art market.
In 2025, Galerie Jacques Barrère opened its doors in Hong Kong with Studio B.L.

The gallery has established itself as an international benchmark. Many of the works that have passed through its hands have found their way into the collections of prestigious museums around the world, such as the Guimet Museum and the Cernuschi Museum in Paris, the Shanghai Museum, the Miho Museum in Japan, the National Museum in Canberra, Australia, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Thanks to its recognised expertise and discerning selection of Chinese, Japanese and Himalayan artworks, Galerie Jacques Barrère actively contributes to the dissemination and promotion of Asian art around the world.
